Early Years Postgraduate (EYP) Network

The Leicestershire Early Years Postgraduate Network (EYP Network) is a professional group of individuals who have gained either Early Years Professional Status, Early Years Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Status.

If you are based in Leicestershire and hold either Early Years Professional Status, Early Years Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Status you can join the EYP Network by completing the online EYP Network joining form (requires a copy of your EYP, EYT and/or QTS certificates to be uploaded). Please forward both the completed form and a copy of your EYP or EYT certificate to Laura Upton.

EYP Cluster Groups

Due to the size of Leicestershire and the high number of EYP Network Members there are 5 EYP Network Cluster Groups, each cluster group is led by one or two EYPs/EYTs in that area:

Oadby, Wigston and Blaby: TBC contact Laura Upton

North West Leicestershire and Charnwood: Christina Wilson

Hinckley and Bosworth: Alison Bates and Holly Graham

Harborough: Isabel Lloyd-Jones

Melton: TBC contact Laura Upton

The EYP Network Cluster groups are open for Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) students to join. So if you are currently working towards Early Years Teacher Status you can join your local cluster group and receive peer to peer support from practitioners who have either achieved the status or, like you, are working towards it.

The groups meet once per term; members usually take it in turns to host the meeting at their setting. The meetings are an excellent opportunity to share best practice, concerns and support ways forward. Please contact the area EYP / EYT above or Laura.Upton@leics.gov.uk.
